General FAQs

A gable roof has two sloping sides that meet at a central ridge, creating the traditional triangular roof design commonly used for houses and sheds.

The number of bikes will depend on their size and style. A typical bike shed can accommodate approximately two adult bikes and one children's bike.

Because bike sizes and storage arrangements vary, we recommend marking the proposed shed area on the ground and checking that your bikes fit comfortably within the available space.

Garden sheds do not normally include a floor assembly. Depending on the model, you may be able to use a dedicated flooring system, concrete slab, timber floor, or suitable paver-based foundation.

Always ensure the shed is securely anchored to an appropriate base.

The mesh openings measure approximately 12 mm × 12 mm.

The J-Hooks are manufactured from strong steel designed to support heavy tools.

The J-Hooks are approximately 20 mm wide and 2.5 mm thick, with a height of approximately 280 mm.

Australian-made sheds are designed and manufactured with local conditions in mind. Choosing locally manufactured products can also support Australian manufacturing and local businesses.

Garden shed cladding is approximately 0.30 BMT (Base Metal Thickness), or approximately 0.35 TCT (Total Coating Thickness).

The recommended concrete fixing system should match the shed model and installation requirements. A suitable fixing kit may include 10 mm diameter Dynabolts.

We recommend using the fixing system specified for your particular shed rather than selecting fixings without checking the installation requirements.

Insulation may not be included as a standard option on garden shed models. Depending on the product range, customers may source suitable insulation separately.

Some larger rural or industrial shed ranges may have additional insulation options available.

Gutters and downpipes are not necessarily included with garden shed models.

If you install your own guttering, make sure it does not interfere with door movement or other parts of the structure.

Wire-covered windows may not be a standard option. Depending on the model, ventilation windows such as louvres or skylights may be available as alternatives.

Lighter colours generally reflect more sunlight and can absorb less heat than darker colours.

If internal temperatures are a concern, suitable insulation and ventilation can also help manage heat inside the shed.

Fire-rating requirements depend on the product and location. Standard garden shed models may not carry a specific BAL fire rating.

If you require a specific Bushfire Attack Level rating, contact the manufacturer before ordering to confirm whether a suitable product is available.

Wind ratings vary by shed model and region. Standard models may have a specified wind classification, while specially designed storm or cyclonic models can have higher ratings.

Always check the wind rating for the specific shed you intend to purchase.

The total weight varies depending on the shed size, model, materials, and included components.

Contact our team with the exact shed model for more specific weight information.

Concrete Slab & Anchoring

A rebated slab can be suitable for an Off-the-Wall shed. The appropriate dimensions should follow the specifications provided for the relevant shed model.

Always check the installation documentation before preparing the foundation.

A newly poured concrete slab should be allowed sufficient time to gain strength before drilling and installing anchors.

Approximately seven days is commonly sufficient for many installations, although concrete continues to cure for much longer. Follow the concrete supplier's recommendations and installation requirements.

A level, appropriately designed slab is recommended to help maintain correct wall and door alignment.

A sloping or uneven foundation can affect door operation and may increase the risk of water entering the shed.

A properly prepared concrete slab is generally recommended where possible.

Pavers, bricks, or a timber base may be suitable in some circumstances, provided the base itself is securely fixed to the ground. Do not rely on loose-laid pavers that could move during strong winds.

The required slab dimensions depend on the selected shed model. Refer to the assembly instructions or product specifications for the correct foundation dimensions.

If you need assistance, contact our team before preparing the slab.

The timber base should be constructed according to the dimensions and installation requirements supplied for your particular shed.

Check the relevant assembly instructions before construction.

Installation & Regulations

We recommend installing the shed on a firm and level base. An uneven surface can affect door alignment, cause structural movement, and increase the possibility of water entering the shed.

Connecting two pool pump sheds together may affect the structural integrity and operation of the opening panels.

Such modifications are generally not recommended unless they have been specifically approved for the particular product.

Tool holders are manufactured from strong welded steel and are designed to hold common heavy garden and workshop tools such as shovels, pickaxes, and similar equipment.

Do not exceed any load limits specified for the particular accessory.

Pre-drilled holes can sometimes create alignment problems during installation because foundations and site conditions can vary.

Drilling the fixing points during installation allows the shed to be positioned accurately and can provide better alignment between the structure and its foundation.

Garden sheds are designed to protect stored items from normal outdoor conditions but should not be treated as completely waterproof buildings.

Correct installation on a suitable foundation is important. A properly prepared rebate can help reduce water entering around the base.

We also recommend keeping water-sensitive items elevated from the floor and ensuring doors and roof components are correctly installed.

Council documentation can vary depending on your location and the size and type of shed.

Engineering documentation, plans, specifications, and certification may be required. Check with your local authority for the exact requirements.

Council requirements vary significantly between regions. Some locations require approval depending on the shed's size, placement, and intended use.

Always check the requirements of your local council before purchasing or installing a shed.

Product dimensions are generally presented as rounded external measurements unless otherwise specified.

For precise internal and external dimensions, refer to the relevant product specifications and foundation instructions.

Additional equipment such as air-conditioning units, solar systems, or other fixtures should be carefully assessed before installation.

Consider the shed's structure, ventilation, insulation, climate, electrical requirements, and suitable fixing points. We recommend consulting an appropriately qualified professional where necessary.

Customisation

Changing the door position on a Skillion Roof shed can require adjustments to the roof overhang and surrounding components.

Before making any modification, make sure the doors can open and close correctly and that the roof structure remains properly supported.

Customisation options depend on the shed range and model. Larger or specialised shed ranges may offer a wider selection of custom sizes, layouts, doors, windows, and accessories.

For smaller garden sheds, modifications should remain within the manufacturer's specifications and installation recommendations.

Connecting two sheds and removing adjoining walls can affect the structural integrity of the buildings and may fall outside their intended design.

We do not recommend making this type of structural modification unless it has been specifically approved by the manufacturer or an appropriately qualified professional.

Shipping & Delivery

Free shipping may be available depending on your delivery location, product, and current shipping offer.

Click & Collect or depot collection may also be available for selected products and locations.

Delivery time depends on the shed model, manufacturing schedule, destination, and freight carrier.

Your estimated delivery timeframe will depend on the shipping information applicable to your order and delivery location.

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information may be sent to you by email or text message where tracking is available.

Collection may be available from selected warehouses, depots, or participating locations.

Because sheds may be made to order, please allow sufficient manufacturing time before collection. You will be notified when your order is ready.

The required vehicle depends on the shed model and the size of the packaged components.

Depending on the order, a suitable ute, van, or trailer may be required. We can provide package dimensions where available.

Delivery equipment varies depending on the delivery location, carrier, and availability.

Because shed components can be large and heavy, customers may be required to assist with unloading. Please ensure appropriate help and access are available when your order arrives.

Delivery requests can sometimes be accommodated, but exact delivery days or time windows cannot always be guaranteed.

Freight schedules depend on the carrier, delivery location, route, and operational availability.

If your order has been delivered to a hardware store or freight depot, contact the location directly to ask whether additional delivery to your home can be arranged.

Additional delivery charges may apply depending on the location and service provider.
